Community Resources & Referrals

Beyond direct services, the Family Council connects families with community resources and referrals. Maternal & Child Health (MCH) of Los Alamos is a program of the Los Alamos Family Council, serving children, women, and families of the county.

The Los Alamos Family Council's Counseling Center has served as a cornerstone of community mental health support for decades, offering a welcoming space where individuals and families can address emotional and behavioral concerns through professional therapy. Licensed counselors work with clients across all ages, providing compassionate care for challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship difficulties and life transitions. The center's approach emphasizes both healing and prevention, helping community members build resilience and coping skills for long-term well-being. Complementing this clinical work, the Youth Activity Centers create structured, supportive environments where young people can develop social connections, explore creative interests, and engage in healthy recreational activities during out-of-school hours.
