Bailey is a true favorite staff member for the youth at the YACs. We are proud to have Bailey as part of our team.
Bailey Martinez is currently one of our Site Directors at the Youth Activity Centers. She joined the Los Alamos Family Council team in December 2016 after working with Pojoaque Valley School District and the Pueblo of San Ildefonso.
Bailey earned her Associates of Arts Degree from University of New Mexico – Los Alamos Campus and is nearing completion of her Bachelors of Arts in Integrated Studies, with an emphasis in Psychology, from Northern New Mexico College.
Bailey, a native of San Ildefonso Pueblo, has shared pueblo culture with the staff and youth of the YAC. During Feast Day at San Ildefonso, students who attend the YAC were excited to see Bailey dancing during the traditional dances.
Bailey shared, “My favorite thing about working at the YACs is realizing the impact that I have on the youth that attend the program. Whether it is listening to their stories or helping them up when they fall, see the happy smiles from the children when they leave for the day lets me know I’m doing my job. Helping children and their families is the most rewarding job!”
